The moon sets the schedule. This puts times on it.
Solunar tables have guided hunters and anglers for close to a century. Fish and game feed hardest when the moon is overhead or underfoot, and hardest of all when one of those windows lands on dawn or dusk.
You get two major windows and two minor ones for any day, a countdown to the next, and a rating out of four so you can tell a Tuesday worth taking off work from one that is not.
Tap the question mark and it shows you exactly how the score was worked out. Nothing about the calculation is hidden.
Tides
764 tide stations, and not one of them needs a signal.
The harmonic constituents for 764 NOAA stations ship inside the app, so the curve is summed on your phone rather than fetched. Every other app in this category asks a server. At the back of a creek that is the difference between a tide table and a spinner.
Heights land within 0.10 m of NOAA's published tables and the highs and lows within 20 minutes, usually far closer.
Pick your own station too. Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach are nine miles apart and run about two and a half hours different, so nearest by distance is the wrong answer for anyone fishing the beach.

The times have to be right where you are
Times always read in the time zone of the place you are looking at, not the one your phone happens to be in. A saved spot still reads correctly from the kitchen table, and it stays correct when the clocks change. That last part is the single most common complaint in this category.
A server is a thing that can be down
Astronomy does not change. Neither do tidal harmonics. There is no reason to ask a server for either, so the app does not, and there is nothing to keep paying for.
Nothing leaves the device
No account, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third party SDKs. Your places and your catch log sit on your device and in your own iCloud, which we cannot see.

Is it really a one-time purchase?
Yes. $7.99 once, including every future update. There is no subscription to cancel because there is no subscription, and no tier above it to upsell you to.
What do I get before paying?
Ten days with every feature turned on, and the app tells you how many are left from the first launch so the paywall is never a surprise. It counts days you actually open it rather than days on the calendar, which matters for something you use one season a year.
What still works after the trial ends?
Today, forever. Today's feeding windows, the day rating, sun and moon times and today's tides stay free. What the purchase covers is planning ahead: any other date, the month calendar, best days, the catch log, marked spots and window alerts.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes, and that is the point. Feeding windows, sun and moon times, and tide predictions for 764 US stations are all computed on the device from data carried inside the app. Only the weather card asks for a connection, and it is optional.
How accurate is it?
The astronomy is cross-checked against an independent reference ephemeris that shares no code with the app. The tide predictions are checked against NOAA's own published tables. If a number ever disagrees with an almanac you trust, the app shows its working and there is a link to tell us.
Why are its tide times different from another app?
Usually the station. Stations a few miles apart can run hours apart, because an ocean station leads a river station. Tap the station name on the tide card and pick the one you actually fish; the choice is remembered for that place.
